maybe gone but never forgotten!
another year has passed since new york city and the rest of the world experienced the horror of terror on american soil. i remember like it was yesterday ... still living in germany and returning home after school as my brother told me that an airplane just hit the world trade center in new york city. i sat in front on the tv and froze just few months prior i was standing right in front of the towers looking up in the sky amazed how sturdy and tall the twin towers seemed to be. nobody had a clue that the iron.twins would be no more only few months later ... i could only imagine the chaos happening in the city that never sleeps.
the following year i moved to new york city and made it my home. home sweet home with a little bit of bitter.sweetness on days like 9/11. we remember those taken from us by the sheer terror that occurred on that day and celebrate those that made it and still fighting the aftermath that was left behind. a new day for the families that lost loved ones and all mankind to make sure that this madness never happens again!

[nīn'ĭ-lěv'ən] September 11, 2001, the date on which two hijacked airliners were flown into the World Trade Center in New York City and another into the Pentagon. A fourth hijacked airliner crashed in open land in Pennsylvania.
