iPRAY: Holy Sites of CALABRIA

beauty is where you find it #35 by luzia pimpinella - shoot the shooter

Few weeks (already) have passed since my trip to Italy and besides endless catching up with work I'm finally finding some time to edit my photos from Calabria. I will divide them in three parts: EAT - the market of Serra San Bruno, LOVE - a day in Tropea and PRAY - holy sites of Calabria. And dont forget my iPhone shots. Perhaps there will be even another surprise coming your way from this trip but until then enjoy my journey one click at a time:

Information Station about Serra San Bruno:

Serra San Bruno is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Vibo Valentia in the Italian region Calabria, located about 40 km southwest of Catanzaro and about 25 km southeast of Vibo Valentia.

Close by is the famous Carthusian monastery, Serra San Bruno Charterhouse (Certosa di San Stefano di Serra San Bruno), around which the town grew up. The town is named after Saint Bruno of Cologne, who founded the Carthusian Order in 1053 and the Grande Chartreuse, mother house of the Carthusians, near Grenoble, in France. He built the charterhouse of Serra San Bruno in 1095, and died here in 1101.
